Before you are ready to get on the plane there are a number of items that need to be taken care of at home. Going abroad can be a new, incredible and unpredictable experience, so taking the time to prepare yourself properly, both logistically and mentally, will help make sure you have the best time possible.
Preparation requirements will vary widely depending on the details of your planned overseas experience. If you are going through an organization, they should be able to offer you some specific tips on what you need to do before you go. Some of the items discussed are optional and some are required; however, all are useful and will help you to be more knowledgeable and prepared.
