Consultancy Title: Co-leadership of the CPMS Working Group

The Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPMS) Working Group is part of the interagency Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (www.alliancecpha.org ). UNICEF is the permanent co-lead of the Alliance. Plan International currently co-leads the Alliance with UNICEF.
The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action is a forum for inter-agency collaboration for more effective prevention and response efforts. It focuses on normative work, including operational standard-setting and development of technical guidance. It also provides its members with technical support and guidance to improve quality and coverage of CP in humanitarian action. The Alliance’s work falls into five broad categories:
UNICEF also co-leads of the CPMS Working Group together with Save the Children. The CPMS Working Group leads technical standard setting and promotes the use and integration of the CPMS, while learning from their use and improving them. The objective of the CPMS is to support quality, predictability and accountability of child protection responses in humanitarian action.
In 2020, the CPMS Working Group has the following objectives in its work plan:
Terms of Reference / Deliverables
The co-lead of the CPMS Working Group will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Advisor, Child Protection in Emergencies, UNICEF HQ. S/he will work in close collaboration with the CPMS Working Group co-lead, hired by Save the Children, to deliver on the workplan of the CPMS Working Group. The following are the list of tasks to be completed during in 2020.
All of the above responsibilities are shared and implemented together with the CPMS Working Group co-lead from Save the Children.
2) Work experience
U.S. Visa information:
With the exception of the US Citizens, G4 Visa and Green Card holders, should the selected candidate and his/her household members reside in the United States under a different visa, the consultant and his/her household members are required to change their visa status to G4, and the consultant’s household members (spouse) will require an Employment Authorization Card (EAD) to be able to work, even if he/she was authorized to work under the visa held prior to switching to G4.
